Winds of change
The offshore wind industry is on its way to take over offshore waters all over California. Not only is this going to affect the commercial fisherman of Morro Bay, but most of the coast of California as the offshore land leases (584 Square Miles) have completed sale already. Unlike oil rigs, these are floating wind farms, they are at the mercy of the weather and sea state. Not only are they navigational hazards but if they were to break free there is no real way to secure them before they impact the coast. This movie draws a lot of real questions that have yet to be answered by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. If California is so addiment about closing 30% of the ocean for conservation (AB3030), then why are they opening this area to an ocean experiment?
